Chief Executive Officer
Chip Porter came to MBX with 15 years of executive leadership experience in the healthcare industry ranging from regional executive health plan roles to corporate executive leadership assignments at large national specialty providers where he was responsible for managed care contracting, revenue cycle management, credentialing, coding compliance and sales. His immediate prior assignment to MBX included those responsibilities at the largest national teleradiology practice in existence at the time. Chip has a reputation of achieving success by driving results through high-achieving teams he has developed and focusing on delivering world class customer service. He earned a BS in Business Administration/Pre-Law at the University of Nevada and is an active member of RBMA.
Chief Operating Officer
Karen Thompson brings over 30 years of medical billing expertise to MBX, with 14 years of physician practice management and 16 years of experience as director of operations in a large, multi-state specialty billing company. Her vast knowledge and professional background includes client implementations, system AR conversions, strategic planning, market development, and financial analysis. Karen is an active member of RBMA and studied Education and Business at the University of Tennessee.
Chief Information Officer/Chief Compliance Officer
Brian Shea has over 20 years of IT and operating related experience, focusing primarily on enterprise infrastructure and IT management. His unique management style inspires management and staff alike to become more innovative, accountable, results focused, competitive, and customer service oriented, while still bringing enjoyment and excitement to the work environment. Brian serves on the ICR Board of Directors, which is a Datacenter located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brian is deeply involved with the local Columbus, Ohio IT community participating in local forums, planning committees, and speaking panels. He received his Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Network Administration from Columbus State Community College, and studied Business Administration at The Ohio State University as well as being certified in many industry recognized certifications.
Vice President of Operations
Sandy DeWitt brings nearly 20 years of financial management experience to MBX. In that time, she has implemented approximately 300 migrations to new platforms without a drop in revenue, and acquired extensive experience in developing and managing implementation and customer service teams. Sandy has a BBA in Finance from Austin Peay State University and is a member of RBMA.
